86 The Comet
Al-Taareq
Juz 30
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! (1) - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! (2) (It is a nightly radiant star). (3) There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). (4) So let man look - from what is he created. (5) He is created of water pouring forth, (6) issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. (7) Most surely He is able to return him (to life). (8) The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). (9) and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! (10) By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. (11) And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) (12) the Quran is the final word, (13) and it is certainly not a jest. (14) They are devising guile, (15) And I am plotting a plot. (16) Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. (17)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
