86 The Comet
Al-Taareq
Juz 30
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- (1) And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? (2) (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- (3) No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. (4) So man must consider from what he has been created. (5) He was created from a fluid, ejected, (6) that issues from between the loins and the ribs. (7) Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) (8) upon the day when the secrets are tried, (9) when he will be helpless, with no supporter. (10) So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, (11) And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- (12) this is indeed a Decisive Word, (13) it is not a jest. (14) Indeed, they are planning a plan, (15) And I secretly plan. (16) So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. (17)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
