Juz 30
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); (1) And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? (2) It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- (3) [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. (4) So let man consider of what he was created; (5) He is created from a water gushing forth. (6) Coming from between the back and the ribs. (7) God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). (8) on the Day when consciences are examined, (9) he shall have no power, and no helper. (10) By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, (11) And the earth which opens up (with verdure), (12) Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): (13) And is not a matter of amusement. (14) They are planning a scheme, (15) And I (too) will make a scheme. (16) so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. (17)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
