The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
