The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is sundered. (1) hearing and obeying its Lord, as it must do; (2) And when the earth is stretched, (3) And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] (4) And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] - (5) O man! verily thou art toiling toward thy Lord a painful toiling, and art about to meet Him. (6) Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand (7) Soon an easy account will be taken from him. (8) And return to his people in happiness. (9) And whoever is given his record of deeds behind his back (10) Soon will he cry for perdition, (11) And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. (12) Behold, [in his earthly life] he lived joyfully among people of his own kind (13) thinking he would never revert (to Us). (14) Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. (15) But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, (16) And the night and that which it drives on, (17) and by the moon, when it reaches its fullness: (18) Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. (19) What is the matter with them, that they do not believe (20) and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ (21) Yea those who disbelieve belie. (22) Yet God has full knowledge of what they conceal [in their hearts]. (23) Therefore give to them glad tidings of a painful punishment, (24) unless it be such [of them] as [repent, and] attain to faith, and do good works; for theirs shall be a reward unending! (25)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
