The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 he will in time be called to account with an easy accounting, 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 they will say, "Woe to us!" 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 Once, he lived joyfully among his family 13 and surely thought he would never return (to his Lord). 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 But nay! I swear by the sunset redness, 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 So announce to them a painful torment. 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds for them is a reward that will never end. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
