The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is sundered. (1) in obedience to the commands of their Lord which are incumbent on them, (2) And when the earth is stretched forth, (3) And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. (4) And obeys its Lord and it must. (5) O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). (6) Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, (7) He surely will receive an easy reckoning, (8) And will return to his family in joy! (9) but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, (10) Will pray for death, (11) And he shall roast into a Blaze. (12) They lived among their people joyfully (13) Verily he imagined that he would not be back. (14) Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. (15) I do not need to swear by the sunset, (16) The Night and its Homing; (17) And [by] the moon when it becomes full (18) You will surely go up level by level. (19) But what is the matter with them that they do not believe, (20) and [that,] when the Qur'an is read unto them, they do not fall down in prostration? ۩ (21) Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. (22) And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. (23) Wherefore announce thou unto them a torment afflictive. (24) Except those who believe and do the right: For them there is reward unending. (25)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
