Al-Mutaffifeen
Juz 30
The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- (1) Who insist on being given full when they take from others, (2) but when they give by measurement or weight to others, they give them less. (3) Imagine such men not that they shall be raised up? (4) On a grievous day, (5) The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. (6) Indeed, the record of the disbelievers is in the lowest place, the Sijjeen. (7) Would that you knew what Sijin is!? (8) it is a written record. (9) Woe, that Day, to the deniers, (10) Those who deny the Day of Justice. (11) Yet none gives the lie to it except the transgressor immersed in sin; (12) Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old. (13) Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. (14) Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord. (15) Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. (16) Then it shall be said to them, 'This is that you cried lies to.' (17) However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. (18) Ah, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! - (19) A book inscribed, (20) which those angels closest to God will bear witness to. (21) Surely the pious shall be in bliss, (22) [resting on couches, they will look up [to God]: (23) You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. (24) They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. (25) which have the fragrance of musk. This is the kind of place for which one should really aspire. (26) a wine tempered with the waters of Tasnim, (27) a fountain at which do drink those brought nigh. (28) The sinners indeed laughed at believers (29) And when the believers used to pass by, they used to gesture at each other with their eyes. (30) And when they returned to their household they returned jesting. (31) And upon seeing the Muslims, they used to say, “Indeed they have gone astray.” (32) Whereas they have not at all been sent as guardians over them. (33) So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, (34) On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). (35) Will not the infidels pay for what they had done? (36)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
