Al-Mutaffifeen
Juz 30
The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- (1) those who demand a full measure from others (2) but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. (3) Do they not realize that they will be resurrected (4) On a Great Day, (5) The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? (6) No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. (7) And what could make thee conceive what that that mode inescapable will be? (8) A record [indelibly] inscribed! (9) Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth (10) those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. (11) for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: (12) When you recite Our verses to him, he says, “Stories of earlier men!” (13) Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! (14) By no means! Verily on that Day from their Lord they will be shut out. (15) and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire (16) Then, it will be said to them: "This is what you used to deny!" (17) Surely the ledger of the pious will be in 'Illiyun (heights above the heights). (18) And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is? (19) It is a written book, (20) To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). (21) The righteous shall indeed be blissful, (22) Reclining on couches, looking on. (23) upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss. (24) They will be given a drink of pure wine, sealed, (25) its seal is musk, for this let the competitors compete; (26) a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, (27) The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. (28) The wicked used to laugh at the believers -- (29) And wink one to another when they passed them; (30) and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; (31) And upon seeing the Muslims, they used to say, “Indeed they have gone astray.” (32) And withal, they have no call to watch over [the beliefs of] others... (33) But on the Day [of Judgment,] they who had attained to faith will [be able to] laugh at the [erstwhile] deniers of the truth: (34) On high thrones, watching. (35) Have those who deny the truth [not] been paid back for their deeds? (36)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
