Juz 30
The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: (1) who, when people measure for them, take full measure, (2) But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. (3) What! Do they not expect that they will be raised? (4) For a mighty day, (5) The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? (6) Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. (7) And what will make you know what Sijjin is? (8) it is a written record. (9) Woe on that day to the rejecters, (10) Who deny the Day of Recompense. (11) And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner! (12) When Our revelations are recited before him, he says: "These are fables of long ago." (13) Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts. (14) No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. (15) Then they shall roast in Hell, (16) They will then be told: "This is what you had denied." (17) No indeed; the book of the pious is in Illiyun; (18) and what will make you understand what the 'Illiyyin is? -- (19) It is a Book inscribed, (20) witnessed by those who are near (to Allah). (21) Surely the pious shall be in bliss, (22) On thrones, looking (at all things). (23) and in their faces you shall know the radiance of bliss. (24) Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed: (25) pouring forth with a fragrance of musk. To that [wine of paradise,] then, let all such aspire as [are willing to] aspire to things of high account: (26) a wine tempered with the waters of Tasnim, (27) a source [of bliss] whereof those who are drawn close unto God shall drink. (28) Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. (29) And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. (30) and, on returning to their people, boast about what they had done. (31) and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; (32) Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. (33) so today those who believe shall [be able to] laugh at those who denied the truth (34) On (high) thrones, looking (at all things). (35) Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? (36)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
