Juz 30
The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Woe unto the scrimpers: (1) those who, when they take from others by measure, take their full share; (2) but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. (3) Do they not think that they will be called to account?- (4) [and called to account] on an awesome Day (5) The day when everyone will stand before the Lord Of The Creation. (6) Indeed! The record of the wicked is in the Sijjin -- (7) And what can make you know what is sijjeen? (8) A record of misdeeds written. (9) Woe unto the repudiators on that day! (10) those who give the lie to the [coming of] Judgment Day: (11) And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one (12) When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." (13) No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. (14) Nay! Surely, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from seeing their Lord that Day. (15) and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire (16) Then it will be said: 'this is that which ye were wont to belie.' (17) Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin. (18) And what do you know what the Illiyoon are! (19) It is a comprehensively written Book (of records). (20) Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it. (21) Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: (22) reclining on couches, reviewing (the bounties given to them). (23) You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. (24) They will be given a drink of pure wine, sealed, (25) The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations: (26) a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, (27) a source [of bliss] whereof those who are drawn close unto God shall drink. (28) The sinners had been laughing at the believers. (29) When passing by them, they would wink at one another (30) And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; (31) On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". (32) But they (disbelievers, sinners) had not been sent as watchers over them (the believers). (33) so today those who believe shall [be able to] laugh at those who denied the truth (34) Regarding them from their cushioned seats. (35) "Are these deniers of the truth being [thus] requited for [aught but] what they were wont to do?" (36)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
