The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, (1) the stars are made to fade away, (2) And when the mountains are driven. (3) the young barren camels are abandoned, (4) And when the wild animals are made to go forth, (5) when the seas are set boiling, (6) And when souls are reunited, (7) when the buried female infant is asked (8) for what offence was she killed? (9) and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, (10) And when the sky is torn away, (11) And when hell is lighted, (12) and Paradise is brought near, (13) [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. (14) BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, (15) the planets that run their course and set, (16) And by oath of the night when it turns back. (17) and brightening morning, (18) That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, (19) Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, (20) obeyed, and honest. (21) For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: (22) And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. (23) He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. (24) Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. (25) So where are you going? (26) This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds (27) (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: (28) And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. (29)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
