The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, (1) and when the stars lose their light, (2) And when the mountains are made to pass away, (3) The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, (4) the wild beasts are herded together, (5) And when the seas are filled with flame (6) And when the souls he paired, (7) And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked (8) such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" (9) And when the pages are laid open, (10) And when the heaven is torn away. (11) and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, (12) when Paradise is brought close: (13) Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. (14) So I swear by the retreating stars - (15) And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, (16) by the night when it approaches (17) And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. (18) Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, (19) endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- (20) One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. (21) And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; (22) And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). (23) He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. (24) nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. (25) When whither go ye? (26) It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, (27) For the one among you who wishes to become upright. (28) And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. (29)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
