The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, (1) When the stars fall, losing their lustre; (2) and when the mountains are made to vanish, (3) And when the camels are left untended, (4) When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); (5) And when the seas are set on fire, (6) and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] (7) questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, (8) For what crime she was put to death; (9) And when the books are spread, (10) when heaven is stripped, (11) and Hell is stoked, (12) and Paradise is brought near, (13) (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). (14) Oh, but I call to witness the planets, (15) the planets that run their course and set, (16) and by the night as it recedes, (17) And the morning when it brightens, (18) Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, (19) The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. (20) Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. (21) And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; (22) in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, (23) And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. (24) And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). (25) When whither go ye? (26) This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, (27) to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. (28) But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. (29)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
