The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 that hide, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
