81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, (1) The stars turn dim and scatter, (2) when the mountains shall be set moving, (3) when the pregnant camels are neglected, (4) When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); (5) and when the seas boil over, (6) And when souls are reunited, (7) And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. (8) for what crime she was slain, (9) when the scrolls are unrolled, (10) and when Heaven is laid bare; (11) and when Hell is set ablaze, (12) when Paradise is brought near, (13) (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. (14) Oh, but I call to witness the planets, (15) The stars which rise and set, (16) And by the night as it closes in (17) and the morn as it softly breathes: (18) behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, (19) endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- (20) The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). (21) Your companion is not possessed; (22) he truly saw him on the clear horizon; (23) nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; (24) nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. (25) Whither, then, will you go? (26) This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, (27) to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. (28) But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. (29)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
