81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. (1) and when the stars lose their light, (2) and when the mountains are made to vanish, (3) And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, (4) And when the wild beasts are gathered (5) when the seas are set boiling, (6) when the souls are coupled (to their body), (7) And the little girl buried alive is asked (8) such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" (9) when the scrolls are unrolled, (10) when the sky is unveiled, (11) when Hell shall be set blazing, (12) And when Paradise shall be brought near, (13) then shall each person know what he has brought along. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) the planets that run their course and set, (16) And by the night as it closes in (17) And by the morning when it shineth forth, (18) Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; (19) who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, (20) Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. (21) And your companion is not [at all] mad. (22) He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. (23) And he is not avid of the Unseen. (24) Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. (25) So where are you going? (26) This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, (27) For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, (28) But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. (29)
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
