The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. (1) When the stars fall, losing their lustre; (2) And when the mountains are made to pass away, (3) when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, (4) the wild beasts are herded together, (5) And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; (6) And when the souls are paired. (7) And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: (8) For what sin she was killed? (9) And when the pages are laid open, (10) The curtain drawn back from the skies, (11) And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. (12) when Paradise shall be brought nigh, (13) (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) stars which are visible during the night (16) and the night as it darkly falls, (17) and the morn as it softly breathes: (18) behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, (19) Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. (20) One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. (21) And your comrade is not mad. (22) And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. (23) He is not avid of the Unseen. (24) The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. (25) Where then are you going? (26) This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). (27) For whoever wills among you to take a right course. (28) But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. (29)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
