Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, (1) and when the stars lose their light, (2) And when the mountains are made to pass away, (3) And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, (4) and when all beasts are gathered together, (5) the oceans are brought to a boil, (6) When souls are reunited (with the bodies) (7) And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked (8) For what sin she was slain. (9) When the scrolls are laid open; (10) and when heaven is laid bare, (11) And when the hell is kindled up, (12) And Paradise brought near, (13) Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) orbiting, disappearing; (16) And the close of night, (17) and the first breath of morning. (18) behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, (19) having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, (20) [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! (21) Nor is your companion distracted. (22) And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). (23) He is not avid of the Unseen. (24) And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. (25) Then where are you going? (26) This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds (27) For him among you who pleases to go straight. (28) And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. (29)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
