The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, (1) when the stars shall scatter away, (2) and the mountains have been taken, (3) And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, (4) And when wild animals are herded together. (5) And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; (6) souls are reunited with their bodies, (7) when the buried infant shall be asked (8) for what offence was she killed? (9) and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, (10) and when Heaven is laid bare; (11) hell is made to blaze, (12) when Paradise is brought close: (13) Every soul will then come know what it has brought. (14) I swear by the receding stars. (15) the planets that run their course and set, (16) by the night swarming, (17) And the morning when it brightens, (18) Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; (19) The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. (20) Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. (21) For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: (22) And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. (23) nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; (24) And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. (25) Then where are you going? (26) Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: (27) To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, (28) And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. (29)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
