Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] (1) and when the stars lose their light, (2) And when the hills are moved, (3) when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, (4) when the savage beasts are gathered (5) And when the seas are set afire. (6) And when souls are united, (7) questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, (8) for what sin she was slain, (9) And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; (10) when the sky is unveiled, (11) And when Hellfire is set ablaze (12) and when paradise is brought into view: (13) A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) Those that run [their courses] and disappear - (16) And the close of night, (17) And by the dawn when it breathes (18) Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, (19) Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, (20) Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). (21) Your Companion is not mad, (22) he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. (23) nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; (24) Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. (25) Where to are you then heading? (26) This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, (27) For the one among you who wishes to become upright. (28) And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. (29)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
