The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; (1) The stars turn dim and scatter, (2) and the mountains have been taken, (3) and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, (4) And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; (5) And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; (6) And when souls are united, (7) when the buried female infant is asked (8) For what crime she was put to death; (9) And when the pages are made public (10) and when heaven is laid bare, (11) hell is made to blaze, (12) And when Paradise is brought near. (13) A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. (14) But nay! I swear by the stars, (15) the planets that run their course and set, (16) and the night that falls, (17) and brightening morning, (18) Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, (19) Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, (20) With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. (21) And your comrade is not mad. (22) And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape peace and blessings be upon them). (23) and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. (24) And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. (25) Where then are you going? (26) This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind (27) For whoever wills among you to take a right course. (28) but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. (29)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
