The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, (1) And when the stars darken, (2) and the mountains have been taken, (3) And when the camels are left untended, (4) when the savage beasts shall be mustered, (5) and when the seas boil over, (6) And when the souls are paired. (7) And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked (8) For what sin she was slain. (9) When the ledgers are laid open, (10) when the sky is unveiled, (11) hell is made to blaze, (12) when Paradise is brought close: (13) [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. (14) I swear by the receding stars. (15) That run their course (and) hide themselves, (16) and by the night as it recedes, (17) The rising dawn, (18) that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger (19) The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. (20) Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. (21) Your Companion is not mad, (22) Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. (23) he is not niggardly of the Unseen. (24) This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. (25) So whither do you stray? (26) This is merely a reminder to all mankind; (27) For him among you who pleases to go straight. (28) And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. (29)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
