81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] (1) when the stars shall scatter away, (2) And when the mountains shall made to pass away; (3) And when full-term she-camels are neglected (4) And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, (5) When the oceans surge and swell, (6) And when souls are reunited, (7) And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. (8) For what crime she was killed; (9) And when the pages are made public (10) and when heaven is laid bare, (11) And when the hell is kindled up, (12) And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, (13) (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. (14) No! I swear by the slinkers, (15) The planets withdrawing into themselves, (16) and by the night as it recedes, (17) and the morn as it breathes. (18) That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, (19) having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, (20) obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. (21) For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: (22) he truly saw him on the clear horizon; (23) and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. (24) This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. (25) So where are you going? (26) This is merely a reminder to all mankind; (27) for whosoever of you who would go straight; (28) But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. (29)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
