81 The Rolling
Al-Takweer
Juz 30
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, (1) and when the stars lose their light, (2) when the mountains shall be set in motion, (3) And when the camels big with young are abandoned, (4) the wild beasts are herded together, (5) And when the seas shall be filled, (6) souls are reunited with their bodies, (7) When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - (8) For what sin she was slain. (9) When the ledgers are laid open, (10) And when the sky is stripped away (11) And when hell is lighted, (12) and when paradise is brought into view: (13) [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. (14) So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). (15) Those that run [their courses] and disappear - (16) And the Night as it dissipates; (17) And the morning when it brightens, (18) Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, (19) of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne (20) [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! (21) Nor is your companion distracted. (22) he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; (23) Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. (24) Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. (25) Where to are you then heading? (26) Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). (27) to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. (28) And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (29)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
