Juz 30
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. (1) that the blind man came to him. (2) And what would make you know that he would purify himself, (3) Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? (4) As for he who is sufficed (5) you attended to him, (6) And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself (7) And as for him who cometh unto thee running, (8) And is also fearful (of God), (9) you ignore him. (10) By no means! Verily it is an admonition. (11) So let whosoever will pay heed to it, (12) (Contained) in honoured pages, (13) exalted, purified, (14) (Set down) by scribes (15) Noble and pious. (16) Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; (17) Out of what did Allah create him? (18) From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, (19) Then the way He made easy. (20) and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; (21) Then He will raise him up again when He please. (22) Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. (23) Let man look at his food: (24) How We poured down water in torrents, (25) then We split the earth in fissures (26) Then We cause to grow therein the grain, (27) grapes, and fresh fodder, (28) And olives and date palms, (29) And enclosed gardens luxuriant. (30) And fruits and herbage: (31) In order to benefit you and your cattle. (32) Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), (33) on that Day each person will flee from his brother, (34) And his mother and his father, (35) wife and sons, (36) On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. (37) Some faces on that day shall shine (38) Laughing, rejoicing. (39) And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, (40) Dust shall cover them (41) It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. (42)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
