Juz 30
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, (1) that the blind man came to him. (2) And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, (3) Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? (4) Now he who waxes indifferent, (5) to him thou attendest (6) although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; (7) But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] (8) and fearfully, (9) From him thou art distracted. (10) No indeed; it is a Reminder (11) So let him who pleases mind it. (12) upon pages high-honoured, (13) lofty and pure, (14) [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, (15) noble and virtuous scribes. (16) Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. (17) Of what substance God created him? (18) He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate (19) He makes his path easy for him. (20) then causes him to die and buries him, (21) Then He will raise him up again when He please. (22) Yet man declines to do His bidding. (23) Let Man consider his nourishment. (24) How We poured down water in torrents, (25) Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, (26) We make the grain grow out of it, (27) and grape vines and vegetables, (28) And olive-trees and palm-trees (29) and burgeoning enclosed gardens (30) And fruits and herbage: (31) A provision for you and for your cattle. (32) Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), (33) it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, (34) And from his mother and father, (35) And his spouse and his son-- (36) on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. (37) Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). (38) Laughing and full of joy, (39) but some faces will be covered with dust (40) Darkness will cover them, (41) those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. (42)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
