42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, (1) Because the blind man had come in his august presence. (2) And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, (3) Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? (4) As for he who is sufficed (5) You pay full attention, (6) although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; (7) But as to him who came to you running. (8) And hath fear, (9) From him you are distracted. (10) Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, (11) So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. (12) upon pages high-honoured, (13) exalted, purified, (14) [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, (15) noble and most virtuous. (16) Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! (17) Of what did He create him? (18) From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; (19) Then maketh the way easy for him, (20) then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, (21) Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. (22) But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. (23) Then let man look at his food, (24) We poured out the rains abundantly, (25) and split the earth, splitting, (26) to yield therein corn, (27) grapes, and fresh fodder, (28) And olives and palms (29) And thick gardens, (30) fruits, and grass. (31) (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. (32) So when the deafening Shout arrives, (33) That Day shall a man flee from his brother, (34) his mother and his father, (35) wife and sons, (36) Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. (37) Some faces will shine, (38) laughing and joyful, (39) And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. (40) with darkness overspread: (41) these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! (42)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
