He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, (1) Because a blind man came to him. (2) And what would make you know that he would purify himself, (3) Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? (4) As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, (5) Unto him thou payest regard. (6) Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). (7) But as to him who came to you running. (8) and who has fear of God, (9) Of him wast thou unmindful. (10) No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; (11) and whosoever wills, shall remember it. (12) upon pages high-honoured, (13) exalted, purified, (14) [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, (15) Noble, virtuous. (16) Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! (17) From what thing doth He create him? (18) From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; (19) then eased his path for him, (20) He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. (21) then, when He wills, He raises him. (22) But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. (23) Then let mankind look at his food - (24) [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; (25) Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, (26) Then We cause therein the grain to grow, (27) And grapes and vegetables (28) And olive and palm trees (29) And gardens, dense with many trees, (30) And fruits and grass, (31) for you and for your herds to delight in. (32) Then when cometh the Deafening Cry (33) on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, (34) and his mother and his father; (35) As well as his wife and children. (36) Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. (37) Many faces will that day be bright, (38) Laughing, rejoicing. (39) And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, (40) Darkness shall cover them. (41) Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). (42)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
