42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned away. (1) that the blind man came to him. (2) How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, (3) (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. (4) As for he who thinks himself without need, (5) To him you attend; (6) though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- (7) But he who comes to you running, (8) And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), (9) Him thou neglectest! (10) Not this way this is the advice. (11) So whoso wills may give heed to it. (12) [It is recorded] in honored sheets, (13) uplifted, purified, (14) (Written) by the hands of scribes- (15) Noble and pious. (16) Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! (17) From what substance did He create him? (18) Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, (19) Then eased the way for him. (20) Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; (21) Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. (22) Yet man declines to do His bidding. (23) Let man look at his food: (24) [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; (25) and split the earth, splitting, (26) and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, (27) and grape vines and vegetables, (28) And olive and palm trees (29) And gardens, dense with many trees, (30) And fruits and fodder,- (31) (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. (32) But when the deafening blast is sounded, (33) On that day man will run away from his brother. (34) his mother, his father, (35) his consort, his sons, (36) On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. (37) [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - (38) Laughing, rejoicing. (39) And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. (40) and covered by darkness. (41) these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! (42)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
