42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away (1) Because the blind man came unto him. (2) But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? (3) or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. (4) As for him who was indifferent, (5) So you are after him! (6) though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. (7) But as to him who came to you running. (8) and fearfully, (9) Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, (10) No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; (11) and whosoever wills, shall remember it. (12) It is set down on honoured pages, (13) Exalted and purified, (14) In the hands of scribes (15) noble and most virtuous. (16) Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! (17) Of what thing hath He created him? (18) Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. (19) Then maketh the way easy for him, (20) Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; (21) and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. (22) By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. (23) Then let man look at his food, (24) How We pour water in showers (25) And We split the earth in fragments, (26) And cause the grain to grow therein (27) and grape vines and vegetables, (28) and olive trees and date palms (29) Orchards thick with trees, (30) And fruits and grass, (31) Provision for you and your cattle. (32) But when the deafening cry comes, (33) on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, (34) And from his mother and his father, (35) wife and sons, (36) on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. (37) Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). (38) Laughing, rejoicing at good news; (39) And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. (40) with darkness overspread: (41) It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. (42)
Almighty God's Truth.
