Juz 30
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, (1) Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). (2) How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, (3) Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? (4) As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, (5) you attend to him, (6) Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). (7) And he who comes to thee eagerly (8) And whereas he fears, (9) You neglect. (10) NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: (11) So whoever wishes may remember it. (12) On honourable pages. (13) exalted, purified, (14) by the hands of scribes (15) Noble and righteous. (16) [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! (17) From what has God created him? (18) Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, (19) He makes his path easy for him. (20) Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. (21) then, when He wills, He raises him. (22) By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. (23) Then let man look to his food, (24) It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, (25) Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, (26) to yield therein corn, (27) and vines, and reeds, (28) And olive-trees and palm-trees (29) and dense-tree'd gardens, (30) and fruits and pastures (31) for you and for your herds to delight in. (32) But when the deafening cry shall be sounded (33) on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, (34) And his mother and his father (35) And his spouse and his son-- (36) on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. (37) Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, (38) Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). (39) but some faces will be covered with dust (40) Darkness shall cover them. (41) Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. (42)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
