Juz 30
He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away (1) Because a blind man came to him. (2) Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, (3) Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? (4) As for him who was indifferent, (5) To him do you address yourself. (6) And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself (7) But he who comes to you running, (8) And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), (9) of him you were unmindful. (10) No indeed; it is a Reminder (11) So whoever wills may remember it. (12) (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). (13) exalted and purified, (14) by the hands of scribes (15) Noble, virtuous. (16) Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; (17) From what did He create him? (18) Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, (19) Then the way He made easy. (20) Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. (21) Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. (22) But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. (23) Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): (24) That We watered it in abundance. (25) Then split the earth in clefts (26) We make the grain grow out of it, (27) And grapes and green fodder (28) And olives and date-palms, (29) And dense gardens, (30) And fruit and grass - (31) [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. (32) Then when cometh the Deafening Cry (33) That Day shall a man flee from his brother, (34) And his mother and his father (35) his wife and his children. (36) Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. (37) Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, (38) laughing and joyful, (39) And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, (40) with darkness overspread: (41) those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. (42)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
