42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away (1) that the blind man came to him. (2) for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, (3) or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? (4) As for him who thinketh himself independent, (5) to him didst thou give thy whole attention, (6) Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). (7) And he who comes to thee eagerly (8) And whereas he fears, (9) From him thou art distracted. (10) No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; (11) so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. (12) (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, (13) exalted and purified, (14) By the hands of scribes. (15) noble and virtuous scribes. (16) May man be slain how ungrateful he is! (17) Of what thing hath He created him? (18) From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, (19) and then made the course of life easy for him, (20) Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, (21) then, He will raise him when He wills. (22) Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. (23) So let man just consider his food: (24) We poured down rain abundantly, (25) And We split the earth in clefts, (26) how We made the grain to grow, (27) together with grapes and vegetables, (28) And Olives and Dates, (29) And enclosed gardens luxuriant. (30) and fruits, and pastures, (31) A provision for you and for your cattle. (32) At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- (33) on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, (34) And from his mother and father, (35) And from his wife and sons. (36) Each man will have enough cares that day. (37) on that Day some faces will be beaming, (38) laughing and joyful, (39) And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; (40) Dust shall cover them (41) It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. (42)
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
