The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, (1) And [by] those who remove with ease (2) And who glide with ease. (3) And then they speed with foremost speed. (4) by the managers (angels) affair. (5) Upon the day when the first blast shivers (6) What must happen afterwards shall follow it. (7) Hearts, that Day, will tremble, (8) while eyes will be downcast. (9) They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? (10) What, when we are bones old and wasted?' (11) They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' (12) But it shall be only a single cry, (13) And they will wake up suddenly. (14) Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? (15) When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: (16) saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, (17) And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", (18) that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” (19) Moses showed him the great sign, (20) But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. (21) then he turned away hastily, (22) Then he gathered (men) and called out. (23) and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," (24) So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. (25) surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. (26)
