The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; (1) and those that blow gently, (2) And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). (3) and those that outstrip suddenly (4) and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). (5) On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), (6) There will follow it the subsequent [one]. (7) Hearts on that day shall palpitate, (8) and their eyes will be humbled. (9) The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” (10) even after we have turned into decayed bones?" (11) They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". (12) Surely it will need but one shout, (13) and behold, they are awakened. (14) Did the news of Moosa reach you? (15) When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, (16) "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, (17) And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? (18) Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" (19) Moses showed him the great miracle (20) but he belied and disobeyed, (21) then he turned away hastily, (22) then, he gathered, proclaimed, (23) Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." (24) Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. (25) Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). (26)
