The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; (1) by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, (2) By the lone stars floating, (3) And then they speed with foremost speed. (4) and by those who regulate events. (5) Upon the day when the first blast shivers (6) and will be followed by the second one, (7) (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. (8) [and] their eyes downcast... (9) They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, (10) even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" (11) They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" (12) It will be only one scaring shout, (13) and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). (14) Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? (15) When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. (16) [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, (17) And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself (18) Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. (19) So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. (20) but he denied it as false and disobeyed, (21) Then he turned back striving. (22) and gathered his people together (23) and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" (24) But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. (25) In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. (26)
