The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence (1) And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) (2) by those that swim serenely (3) By the angels hastening, (4) Then those who regulate the affair. (5) One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, (6) Followed by the second blast, (7) Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; (8) and eyes will be humbly cast down. (9) They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, (10) "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" (11) They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" (12) Indeed, it will be but one shout, (13) So they will immediately be in an open plain. (14) Have you received the story of Moses? (15) How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, (16) Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). (17) And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; (18) Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" (19) Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). (20) But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] (21) Then he went back hastily. (22) And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, (23) And he said: I am your Lord, most high. (24) So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. (25) Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! (26)
