The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, (1) and gently take it away; (2) And those who glide swimmingly, (3) and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); (4) And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). (5) The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, (6) Followed by the second blast, (7) hearts will be throbbing, (8) and their eyes will be humbled. (9) They say: "Shall we go back to our original state (10) even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" (11) They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." (12) But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). (13) and lo, they will all be in the open plain. (14) Have you received the story of Moses? (15) When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, (16) Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. (17) Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: (18) Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" (19) He showed him the mighty sign, (20) In response, he denied and disobeyed. (21) and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; (22) Then he gathered and cried aloud, (23) Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. (24) But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. (25) Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! (26)
