The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, (1) and those that draw out violently, (2) and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), (3) Then press forward as in a race, (4) and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). (5) [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] (6) and the second blast follows it, (7) On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), (8) Their eyes cast down. (9) They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? (10) even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” (11) They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. (12) Surely it will need but one shout, (13) and behold, they are awakened. (14) Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? (15) When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: (16) That “Go to Firaun he has rebelled.” (17) And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", (18) I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". (19) So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. (20) but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). (21) Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). (22) And he summoned all his people, (23) then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' (24) but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: (25) Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). (26)
