The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, (1) By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); (2) And those who glide swimmingly, (3) and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, (4) and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). (5) One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, (6) and will be followed by the second one, (7) Hearts will pound loudly on that day, (8) and their eyes shall be humbled. (9) They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? (10) after we have become bones and dust?" (11) They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." (12) But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). (13) and behold! They will all come out in the open. (14) Has the story of Moses come to you (15) Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. (16) saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. (17) and say: "Will you purify yourself, (18) "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" (19) So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. (20) but he cried lies, and rebelled, (21) Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). (22) Then he gathered (men) and called out. (23) Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." (24) But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. (25) Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). (26)
