The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, (1) And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) (2) by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently (3) By the angels hastening, (4) and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). (5) On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], (6) followed by the succeeding, (7) hearts will undergo terrible trembling, (8) While eyes are downcast (9) They say: "Shall we go back to our original state (10) "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" (11) They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". (12) But it will be only a single blow, (13) And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. (14) Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! (15) His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: (16) Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). (17) And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? (18) I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". (19) So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. (20) but he belied and disobeyed, (21) He then turned away, striving in his effort. (22) and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] (23) then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' (24) And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. (25) Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. (26)
