31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned? (1) Verily We created man out of a drop of intermingled sperm so that We might try him, and We therefore endowed him with hearing and sight. (2) We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. (3) Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. (4) Surely the devotees will drink cups flavoured with palm blossoms (5) From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. (6) The servants of God fulfill their vows and are afraid of the day in which there will be widespread terror. (7) those who, for the love of Him, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, (8) (Saying): "We feed you for the sake of God, desiring neither recompense nor thanks. (9) We fear the dismal day calamitous from our Lord." (10) So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy. (11) And hath awarded them for all that they endured, a Garden and silk attire; (12) therein they shall recline upon couches, therein they shall see neither sun nor bitter cold; (13) since its [blissful] shades will come down low over them, and low will hang down its clusters of fruit, most easy to reach. (14) Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them (15) Godblets of silver, they shall have filled them to exact measure. (16) And therein they shall be given to drink a cup whose mixture is ginger, (17) From a fountain therein, named Salsabil. (18) ۞ And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered Pearls. (19) wherever you look, you will see bliss and a great kingdom: (20) Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. (21) It will be said to them, “This is your reward indeed your efforts have been appreciated.” (22)
