Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? (1) Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. (2) We surely showed him the way that he may either be grateful or deny. (3) Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers manacles and carcans and a raging fire. (4) Surely the devotees will drink cups flavoured with palm blossoms (5) From a spring of which the votaries of God will drink and make it flow in abundance. (6) They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. (7) those who, for the love of Him, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, (8) We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: (9) “Indeed we fear from our Lord a day which is extremely bitter, most severe.” (10) Therefore, God will ward off from them the woes of that Day, and make them find brightness and joy, (11) For their patience, He will reward them with Paradise and silk. (12) Where they will recline on couches feeling neither heat of the sun nor intense cold. (13) And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. (14) And they will be waited upon with vessels of silver and goblets that will [seem to] be crystal (15) Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. (16) There will they drink a cup flavoured with ginger (17) (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil. (18) ۞ They will be served by immortal youths who look like scattered pearls. (19) And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. (20) they will wear green garments of fine silk and rich brocade. They will be adorned with silver bracelets. And their Lord will give them a pure drink. (21) It will be said to them, “This is your reward indeed your efforts have been appreciated.” (22)
