The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? (1) Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. (2) Surely We showed him the Right Path, regardless of whether he chooses to be thankful or unthankful (to his Lord). (3) Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. (4) the righteous shall drink from a cup mixed with the coolness of kafur, (5) The Kafoor is a spring, from which the chosen bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to flow wherever they wish inside their palaces. (6) They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide. (7) And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive, (8) Saying: we feed you only for the sake of Allah; we desire not from you any recompense or thanks. (9) we fear from our Lord a Day that shall be long and distressful.” (10) Therefore, God will ward off from them the woes of that Day, and make them find brightness and joy, (11) and recompense them for their patience with a Garden, and robes of silk. (12) Reclining upon couches, they will find therein neither the heat of the sun nor bitter, biting cold, (13) The shadows will bend over them, and low will hang the clusters of grapes. (14) and there shall be passed around them vessels of silver, and goblets of crystal, (15) Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. (16) And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger (17) [From] a fountain within Paradise named Salsabeel. (18) ۞ There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. (19) When thou seest, thou wilt see there bliss and high estate. (20) Their raiment will be fine green silk and gold embroidery. Bracelets of silver will they wear. Their Lord will slake their thirst with a pure drink. (21) "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." (22)
