No! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 About the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
