O Ye shall not attain unto virtue until ye expend of that which ye love; and whatsoever ye expend, verily Allah Is thereof Knower. (92) ۞ All food was lawful for the Children of Israel, except whatever Israel had made unlawful for himself before the Torah was sent down. Say to them, "Bring the Torah then and read it, if you are truthful. (93) Those who, after this, persist in making up lies and attributing them to God are transgressors." (94) Say: Allah speaketh truth. So follow the religion of Abraham, the upright. He was not of the idolaters. (95) The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: (96) In it are clear signs the place where Ibrahim stood (is one of them); and whoever enters it shall be safe; and performing the Hajj (pilgrimage) of this house, for the sake of Allah, is a duty upon mankind, for those who can reach it; and whoever disbelieves then Allah is Independent (Unwanting) of the entire creation! (97) Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while Allah is Witness over what you do?" (98) Then say: "O people of the Book, why do you turn the believers away from the path of God, looking for obliquities in the way when you are witness to it? And God is aware of all that you do." (99) O People who Believe! If you obey some of People given the Book(s), they will definitely turn you into disbelievers after your having accepted faith. (100) How can you disbelieve while unto you are recited the revelations of Allah, and in your midst is His apostle! And whosoever holdeth fast to Allah, he is of a surety guided unto a straight path.
