By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well. (92) ۞ All food was lawful for the Descendants of Israel (Jacob), except what Israel forbade for himself, before the Taurat (Torah) was sent down; say, “Bring the Taurat and read it, if you are truthful.” (93) If any, after this, invent a lie and attribute it to Allah, they are indeed unjust wrong-doers. (94) Say thou: Allah hath spoken the truth; follow therefore the faith of Ibrahim the upright; and he was not of the associators. (95) The first House of God to be set up for men was at Bakkah the blessed, a guidance for the people of the world. (96) In it are clear signs the place where Ibrahim stood (is one of them); and whoever enters it shall be safe; and performing the Hajj (pilgrimage) of this house, for the sake of Allah, is a duty upon mankind, for those who can reach it; and whoever disbelieves then Allah is Independent (Unwanting) of the entire creation! (97) Say: 'People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in the signs of God? Surely God is witness of the things you do.' (98) Say: "O ye People of the Book! Why obstruct ye those who believe, from the path of Allah, Seeking to make it crooked, while ye were yourselves witnesses (to Allah's Covenant)? but Allah is not unmindful of all that ye do." (99) O ye who believe! If ye listen to a faction among the People of the Book, they would (indeed) render you apostates after ye have believed! (100) And how would ye deny Faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah, and among you Lives the Messenger? Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight. (101)
