Never will you attain to righteousness unless you spend for the cause of God out of what you cherish; and whatever you spend is known to God. (92) ۞ All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel forbade himself before the Torah had been sent down. Say: 'Bring the Torah and recite it, if you are truthful' (93) Those who after this invent lies about Allah are harmdoers. (94) (Muhammad), say, "God has spoken the Truth. Follow the upright tradition of Abraham who was not an idolater." (95) Behold, the first House (of Prayer) established for mankind is the one at Bakkah: it is full of blessing and a centre of guidance for the whole world. (96) There are clear signs in it; it is the place where Abraham stood. Anyone who enters it will be secure. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty to God for anyone who is able to undertake it. Anyone who disbelieves should remember that God is independent of all creatures. (97) Say: 'People of the Book, why do you disbelieve the verses of Allah? Surely, Allah is witness to all that you do' (98) Say: 'People of the Book, why do you bar from God's way the believer, desiring to make it crooked, yourselves being witnesses? God is not heedless of the things you do.' (99) O you who believe! if you obey a party from among those who have been given the Book, they will turn you back as unbelievers after you have believed. (100) How can you disbelieve while unto you are recited the revelations of Allah, and in your midst is His apostle! And whosoever holdeth fast to Allah, he is of a surety guided unto a straight path.
