Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! (1) Which guides to the right path; and we have come to believe in it, and will not associate any one with our Lord. (2) our Lord is too exalted to have either a wife or son. (3) Certainly the foolish among us say preposterous things of God. (4) we never thought that either human or jinn would ever tell a lie against Allah!' (5) But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. (6) ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ (7) (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. (8) and that “we would take up stations in the heaven to try to hear but anyone who now attempts to listen finds a shooting meteor in wait for him”; (9) And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: (10) For some of us are upright and some otherwise: Surely we follow different ways. (11) We have realized that we could never thwart God on earth and that we would never be able to thwart Him by flight. (12) Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. (13) 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." (14) And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, (15) If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- (16) In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." (17) All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. (18) When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). (19)
