Juz 29
Noah (Noah)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
WE SENT NOAH to his people to warn them before the painful punishment came upon them. (1) He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you (2) "That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me: (3) “He will forgive you some of your sins, and give you respite up to an appointed term; indeed the promise of Allah cannot be averted when it arrives; if only you knew.” (4) [And after a time, Noah] said: "O my Sustainer! Verily, I have been calling unto my people night and day (5) But my invitation increased them not except in flight. (6) And every time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and wrapped up their faces with their garments and obstinately clung to their attitude, and waxed very proud. (7) "And behold I called unto them openly; (8) and spoke to them in public and in private." (9) and I said, "Ask you forgiveness of your Lord; surely He is ever All-forgiving, (10) He will send you abundant (11) And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers. (12) What has come upon you that you do not fear the majesty of God, (13) when He has created you through different stages of existence? (14) Do you not see how God has created the seven heavens one above another, (15) and has placed the moon in them as a light, and the sun as a radiant lamp? (16) And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, (17) Afterwards He will return you into it (the earth), and bring you forth (again on the Day of Resurrection)? (18) And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse, (19) so that you might walk thereon on spacious paths.'" (20)
