Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! (1) What is the Reality? (2) And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? (3) (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. (4) As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; (5) and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind (6) To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. (7) Then do you see of them any remains? (8) And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. (9) and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. (10) When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, (11) That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it. (12) So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast (13) and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, (14) On that day shall the great event come to pass, (15) and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; (16) And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. (17) On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. (18) Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! (19) Surely I knew that I shall meet my account. (20) So he shall have an agreeable life (21) In a high garden (22) with its fruits within easy reach. (23) (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' (24) But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "Would that I were never given my ledger, (25) And knew not what my reckoning! (26) Oh, would that it had been the ending! (27) Of no use was even my wealth. (28) and our belief has destroyed us". (29) 'Take him, and fetter him, (30) "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. (31) then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. (32) “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” (33) "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! (34) "So no friend hath he here this Day. (35) "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, (36) which none but the sinners eat!" (37)
