Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! (1) and what is the Resurrection Verifier? (2) And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality? (3) Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. (4) Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. (5) And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; (6) that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. (7) Then do you see of them any remains? (8) Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. (9) and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! (10) Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship (11) so that We might make it an instructive event for you, and retentive ears might preserve its memory. (12) Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, (13) And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- (14) On that day shall the great event come to pass, (15) The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. (16) And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. (17) On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. (18) Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! (19) Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” (20) Then he shall find himself in a life of bliss; (21) In high empyrean (22) Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. (23) "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!" (24) But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book (25) and had not known my account. (26) Would that it (my death) had ended it all! (27) My wealth has been of no use to me. (28) My power hath gone from me. (29) (It will be said): Take him and fetter him (30) and then let him enter Hell. (31) Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." (32) they did not believe in the great God, (33) "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! (34) so today he has no friend here, (35) and has no food except the filth from the washing of wounds, (36) "Which none do eat but those in sin." (37)
